Although I’ve only been to Ohio once in my life, I think their state law must require them to all be nice, cause I’ve never met someone from there I didn’t like. The Canters came out to LA to visit their daughter Jessica and boyfriend Youxi. Youxi went to UCLA, which their campus makes for the perfect photographic backdrop. Even though it was a cloudy day, the large diffuser in the sky made for some nice soft lighting. The scenery around campus allowed us to get some fun unique shots as well as some great family portraits. As I setup to take the first shot, everyone was already in perfect order, location, and looking straight at the camera. Something tells me they’d done this before. Rachel, Jessica’s sister, had recently gotten married this year to Jonathan and they were all well aware of the portrait drills. It was like capturing trained professional models. 🙂 Not only was everyone full of smiles, but we had a great time coming up with ideas and walking around campus. Thanks to the Canters for allowing me to capture their family photos and I hope you had a wonderful trip here with at least a little sun coming out to say hello.
