About Nathan Nowack

Photography has been a passion of mine since I took my first Polaroid when I was 6. Looking back at some of those photos they still bring a smile to my face. This is why I do what I do. I love how photos can be funny, emotional, beautiful, artistic, and all of these things at once. Photography is truly about capturing the moment and documenting true life. Memories are delicate and can fade away with time. When I became a professional photographer, this became my goal: create long-lasting images with artistic style, vision, and emotional connection that will last a lifetime.

I received my Business Administration degree from Colorado State University and always knew I would start my own business someday to serve the community. During my time in beautiful, scenic Colorado, I started to appreciate the artistic side of things, buying my first 35mm film camera, using a panoramic camera, creating DVD's and animation, and becoming the editor of a biannual newsletters.

You may ask about my last name and wonder where this German originated last name came from.  If you're interested, there is an entire article about it as I was adopted when I was 5.5 months old and raised in Oklahoma with a very loving family, until recently I reconnected with my family in Korea.  Feel free to check out that info here.

You can search in my blog as well as there is another article I wrote and updated about it recently.  I love talking about it, so please don't hesitate to ask me more if you're curious about adoption, Korea, or my family.

With so many photographers out there, I know style is also an important question. My style is centered around what I like to call Modern Photojournalistic Wedding Photography. I like to use colors, lighting, and the environment to capture the moment in an artistic way, but with real and emotional without intense or awkward posing. I’m lighthearted and fun, full of bad jokes, and try to make our sessions as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. I love to capture both local and destination weddings. In 2013, I helped create a new wedding blog for grooms called Wedding-Bros, with& good friend and co-founder Jeremy Chou. This amazing website for grooms and men allows them to help with the planning of weddings by finding vendors, get advice on attire, and of course, the basics like song selection, to-dos and not-to-dos, and much more. And most recently in 2015, I created a company specializing in commercial photography and videography called Coverve. We capture headshots, product & food photography, marketing videos, aerial and drones, and live corporate events.

In 2016, I had the pleasure of welcoming my first born son, Kelvin. His joy and presence has given new meaning to my career as I now have experienced first hand the stages that come after marriage. He inspires me to be the best I can be everyday and I can't wait to watch him grow. Then at the beginning of 2018, I had my 2nd son, Grayson. Together we are now a family of 4, going through everyday life with love, laughter, and trying to make this world a better place for everyone.
