Zombies, Geeks, Major Nelson and Freddie Wong. This is where I belong. I was fortunate enough to be photographing a few weeks ago for Square Enix and their social media team at the 2015 E3 Expo in Downtown Los Angeles at the Convention Center. Around 50,000 gamers, movie stars, and businessmen crowded the floors of the immense gaming community for a glimpse of new games, hardware, and of course, freebie swag. Square Enix was debuting a few game sneak peeks, including Hitman, Deus Ex, Kingdom Hearts 3, Just Cause 3, and of course the announcement of the much anticipated Final Fantasy VII remake. Yes, your dreams have come true. At other booths, Nintendo was showing off their new upcoming games like Super Mario Maker, Skyfox, and a new Zelda. Where Playstation was showing off many new games on the forefront like Disney Infinity, Destiny The Taken King from Activision, Tomb Raider Prequel, Mad Max, Morpheus VR Glasses, Unchartered 4, The Last Guardian, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare 3, and of course Star Wars Battlefront. Xbox was hot on their heals with many of the same games to play, but adding their franchised star Halo 5 as well as Batman Arkham Knight, The Division, The Hololens, Fallout 4, Gears of War 4, and Recore. Lots to announce, even including that they are going to be backwards compatible now. Overall it was an amazing conference with so many awesome games, sites, and giveaways. Along with my Skylanders exclusive and some nifty new pins and T-shirts, I had a great time capturing the awesome culture, the fun, and yes, playing some games.
